#MANOS ETERNAS

FLOR

Originally from a community in the Mixteca Region of Oaxaca, Mexico, Flor is the talent behind the palm designs found at Ancestra.

Palm craftsmanship has been an integral part of Flor's life since childhood. She inherited techniques from her grandmother and, over time, has begun to innovate and create her own pieces.

What we admire most about Flor are her steadfastness, commitment, proactivity, and infectious smile.

This skill not only provided her with artistic abilities but also valuable life lessons. Over time, Sara honed her craft and ventured into exploring her own designs, drawing inspiration from her family and surroundings.

Soon, her creations began to stand out for their unique and distinct style, reflecting her personality in each piece.

ALEJANDRA TORRES

Alejandra, a talented Mexican illustrator, stands out for her exclusive and extraordinarily unique designs that spring from her imagination to come to life.
With the firm conviction of infusing her illustrations into our daily lives, she decided to bring her vision to fruition through Hombre Necio. This unique brand utilizes natural fabrics with low environmental impact, meticulously handcrafted to then imprint each of Alejandra's illustrations through serigraphy.

Thus, each piece not only represents her creativity but also echoes her commitment to sustainability and careful craftsmanship.

In collaboration with Arturo and Carlos, they’ve launched a project with the talented potters of Yojuela, Oaxaca. Tendajon de Barro, this initiative aims to raise awareness about this community, showcase the art of pottery and its unique techniques, and ensure the economic viability of this tradition while preserving ancestral methods.

At ANCESTRA, we are excited to partner with them and bring you these impactful, one-of-a-kind creations.
